Vivek Sharma is Regional Vice President GC & SA India Operations, and Director of the STMicroelectronics India Design Centers, responsible for the Company’s overall operations in India. He has held this position since April 2009.

Sharma joined SGS-Thomson (now STMicroelectronics) in 1991 and became Manager of Central Research & Development at ST India in 1995. He was appointed Technical Director of ST India in 2002 and was promoted to Regional Vice President GC&SA-India Operations in 2005, responsible for the design centers’ operations along with General and Administrative functions at ST India.

Sharma holds three international patents in integrated circuit design and has served as an elected member of the Executive Council of Indian Semiconductor Association since 2008.

Vivek Sharma was born in Punjab, India, in 1965. He received a Master of Technology in Communication Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology in Delhi and graduated with a degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Punjab Engineering College, Chandigarh, India.
