Bangalore, February 1st, 2010: India Semiconductor
Association (IESA), the apex trade body representing the Indian
semiconductor industry, along with the IT Department, Government
of Karnataka and UK Trade and Investment today unveiled the 5th
IESA Vision Summit 2010, at the Taj West End, Bangalore. Dr. G
Madhavan Nair, Ex Chairman, ISRO, inaugurated the two-day
(Feb1&2) summit. The launch function witnessed the presence of
several dignitaries and industry leaders from the fields of IT,
Electronics & the Semiconductor industry including Mr. Om
Prakash Rai, Director General of STPI, Mr. Richard Hyde, British
Deputy High Commissioner, Mr. Francois Gilbert, Corporate Vice
President, President Greater China and South Asia region, ST
MicroElectronics. IESA Vision Summit 2010 is the premier
leadership forum representing the Indian electronics industry
and semiconductor industry and deliberations will focus this
year on the Indian market to help provide the momentum for
growth in the new decade.
The IESA core council also shared the details of the
recommendations submitted to Government of India on the
Electronic System, Design & Manufacturing sector.
