This award is for lifetime achievement for a global Indian or Person of Indian Origin for outstanding contributions in the field of semiconductors.

This award has been instituted to recognize and honor a visionary in the semiconductor space, who has over the years made seminal contributions that made a difference to the semiconductor ecosystem globally. The awardees path-breaking contributions could be in academics, research or in industry.

This award recognizes excellence sustained over a professional career. Luminaries who made a difference to the semiconductor ecosystem are qualified for nomination to TechnoVisionary award, as long as they satisfy the basic criterion set for it by the Technovation Team and TechnoVisionary award selection panel. The nominees for the awards should be either global Indian or PIO.

  Eligibility:
- Over 50 years of age; with contributions sustained over 20 years in the field of ISA’s domain(s) of interest.
- At least 5 seminal contributions - papers, patents and other engineering achievement.
- Only persons of Indian origin are eligible for this award. The candidate may be based anywhere in the world.
   
 
Nomination and Selection Process:
For TechnoVisionary award, ISA members as well as non-members can file the nomination of a candidate. All nominations are expected to be in accordance with the guidelines in place in the format prescribed (use nomination pdf and word files). The selection procedure shall be as follows:

Application forms to be submitted by those who would like to be considered for the awards.

All nominations will be through member organizations or through the previous awardees. All nominations are expected to be in accordance with the guidelines in place (available through Secretariat and the website www.isaonline.org), in the format prescribed.

All nominating organizations or persons must ensure the availability of ALL the needed data, as required by the Technovation Team and the AC.
—
There is no limitation with regard to the number of times a person may be nominated.
—
It is the applicant’s responsibility to adhere to the process to constantly enhance the prestige of the awards, and they are requested to take the ownership in ensuring proper submission of the application for it to be considered for the award.

ISA Technovation Team and Secretariat will review the nominations, and arrive at the shortlist based on the criterion that has been put in place by the Technovation Team for that year’s awards.

The short listed candidates’ data shall be forwarded to the AC for final selection.
—
The AC shall make the final decision completely based on its judgment, as long as the guidelines are followed.
