Arun Bellary is vice president
of PMC-Sierra's India Operations and managing director of
PMC-Sierra India Pvt Ltd (subsidiary). Prior to joining
PMC-Sierra, Mr. Bellary was founder of WiaX Systems Inc.
in the broadband wireless access market. Before that he
was founder, chairman and CEO of Metro-OptiX for four years
(before it was acquired by Exterra) where he established
a company with 400 employees in the U.S. and India. Mr.
Bellary was vice president and general manager with Ericsson
Sweden from 1996 to 1999 where he managed the Broadband
Access product division with R&D located in seven countries.
Prior to that, Mr. Bellary worked in senior management and
technical leadership positions at Pirelli Optical Products,
Fujitsu Network Systems and AT&T Bell Laboratories (Lucent).
He holds three patents, has published many technical papers,
and has received numerous awards including the Tech-Titan
"Best Startup to Succeed" from Texas High Tech
Corridor and "CEO of the Month" by Telecom Week
in Dec 2000. |
