Dr (Prof.) Debesh Das,
is the Honorable Minister-in-Charge, Department of Information
Technology, Government of West Bengal. He has 20 years of
teaching experience, starting with BIT, Mesra in 1986 and
further as Lecturer / Reader in Calcutta University and
Jadavpur University and subsequently as Professor in the
Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Jadavpur
University.
Besides teaching, he has been actively
involved in research with special interest in VLSI design,
VLSI testing, Logic Synthesis, etc. and has 17 years experience
in the field.
He has done his Ph.D. in 1997 from Jadavpur
University after completion of Master Degree in Electronics
& Tele-Communication Engineering in 1984.
