Rajendra Kumar Khare is
CEO IndusEdge. Till recently, Rajendra Kumar Khare had been
the Managing Director of Broadcom India Pvt. Ltd and had
been heading all its operations since inception in 1999.
He is currently in transition working towards his next start-up
venture. He is an active proponent of the growth of the
semiconductor industry in India and was one has of the co-founders
of the India Semiconductor Association in 2004.
Prior to this, Rajendra Khare co-founded
Armedia Labs, one of the first technology start-up companies
in Bangalore in 1997. He successfully led Armedia in its
pursuit to be one among the first companies in the world
to develop technology for HDTV MPEG decoders for the emerging
Digital TV and Internet Appliance markets. Armedia's technology
caught the attention of several leading industry players
and eventually Broadcom Corporation acquired the company
in 1999. At Broadcom, Rajendra Khare has filed more than
20 US patents.
Before Armedia, Rajendra Khare served as
GM-Computer Products at Arcus Technology, where he was responsible
for Application Specific Integrated Circuits (ASIC) business
in the areas of multimedia and embedded controllers. Rajendra
Khare has worked with Tata R&D Labs and Wipro Infotech,
where he led the development of several real-time embedded
systems for defense applications. Many of these were classified
as projects of national importance and had the distinction
of being awarded the National Award for Excellence in R&D
by Department of Electronics on several occasions.
Rajendra Khare holds a bachelors degree
in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from Birla Institute
of Technology and Science (BITS), Pilani.
