of FM Pranab Mukherjee deciding against imposition of additional tax
on diesel vehicles, Hyundai has finalized plans to set up a diesel
engine plant in India. The company, that currently imports diesel
engines to strap on cars like i20 hatchback and the Verna sedan, is
likely to invest around Rs 500 crore for the engine facility, and an
announcement is expected soon. |

100,000 missiles to its credit, the state-run Bharat Dynamics Limited
(BDL) has now made an investment of around $ 6.66 billion at a new
facility in Hyderabad to produce surface-to-air missiles. The
foundation stone of this greenfield production facility was laid by M
M Pallam Raju, Minister of State (Defence) along with Chief Minister N
Kiran Kumar Reddy. This facility where surface-to-air missile
production is being envisaged will be BDL’s fourth manufacturing unit
in Andhra Pradesh. |

mechanical system (MEMS) relays, shipping samples in April 2012. The
MEMS relays will be used in semiconductor testing equipment,

equipment and their components. Mass production will begin in January
2013. |
